During his decade as an international pop star, Jesse McCall has lived every day in the fast lane. A committed hedonist reveling in amazing highs, globetrotting, and nameless encounters, he refuses to think about his loneliness or empty future. Then tragedy strikes.
Shocked and grieving, he sheds his identity and walks away, searching for peace. Instead, he finds Bristol Reese, a no-nonsense beauty scraping to keep her business afloat while struggling with her own demons.
Such a great book! But then it’s Shayla Black, so that’s a given!!
Jesse, the Rock legend and Bristol, the small town girl meet when Jesse steps in to help Bristol with an awkward situation. For some reason he wants to be her savior, but that doesn’t mean his ‘sinner side’ will take a backseat!! What starts as good intentions, turns into a story of discovery, passion, forgiveness and love. And some very steamy scenes (have a cold glass of water or wine close-by!)!
Shayla’s writing is always spot-on and this novella just confirms it! And she made me change my tune about Jesse! He was introduced to us in Decadent (Wicked Lovers, Book 2) and not in a good way – BUT he’s changed and I’m so very glad! The way Shayla re-introduces him to us (her readers) is perfect – we get to see him in the best light possible, and what a reward we have with his story. I read this novella in one sitting, I simply couldn’t put it down. Congratulations Shayla on another amazing book. I can’t wait for the next one!
